Substance abuse as an adult can stem from difficulties in childhood or teen years that were not resolved.  It can also develop from challenges as an adult that are not being managed in a healthy way.  These struggles can be related to trauma, mental health, and a variety of other underlying factors.  Many people use substances to self-medicate, feel better, or simply to escape the hardships and stress of life for a little while. This coping mechanism can lead to addictive patterns and behaviors which can have detrimental consequences in a variety of areas including physically, mentally, financially, 

legally, and spiritually.  

We have developed a structured program that uses evidence based techniques to addresses common challenges facing adults. Our program also allows for customization to assure specific individual client needs are met. We include education, processing, and skills development components with each session. Some areas of need that we commonly address include:

- grief and loss

- distress tolerance

-healing from trauma

We offer several different outpatient treatment options including Intensive Outpatient (IOP), 

General Outpatient (GOP) small group sessions, 

and Individual Counseling sessions. Before beginning any clinical treatment, an initial assessment is completed to help determine what level of care will best meet a client's specific needs. We also offer referrals and assistance with alternate care levels to clients who may benefit from detoxification, inpatient treatment, medication management, or other types

 of clinical services.
