Encompass is a Tricare & VA approved Community Care Network Provider

Encompass Recovery was established in Clarksville, TN with the intention of bringing the highest quality, specialized substance abuse and mental health services to the local military community. We are located 5 minutes from the Clarksville VA clinic and place priority on processing referrals they send to our campus. We also have direct contact with Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, working with their VA clinic as well as outlying clinics such as Screaming Eagle. As Encompass is located just 20 minutes from Fort Campbell Army base, which is home to the esteemed forces of the 101st Airborne Division, the 5th Special Forces Group, and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, we fully understand the magnitude of the military presence in our community. As a locally established community provider who is already embedded in the Fort Campbell-Clarksville ecosystem, and we understand and are equipped to navigate the specific pressures, transitions, and challenges of this installation's veteran population.
Encompass has been a member of the Montgomery County Veterans Coalition (MCVC) since 2015. We are committed to working with fellow community partners to
strengthen coordination, evaluate emerging needs, review legislative policy developments, and identify solutions that support veterans and their families locally.
Our engagement with the local Montgomery County Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) and Montgomery County Recovery Court has given us the opportunity to better support our local veterans who are faced with legal challenges related to substance abuse. Encompass has also supported clients involved in neighboring areas, including the Kentucky Department of Specialty Courts, as well as assisting local veteran residents that incur legal challenges in other states.
As a business built to service veterans, we strive to not only provide clinical services to clients, but to welcome veterans and their family members to join our clinical and ancillary staff team. From counselors to support staff members, we are honored to have the opportunity to employ and create further hiring opportunities for service members, veterans and their families to support and service their fellow comrades in their journey to recovery.
Encompass Recovery proudly serves veterans in the greater Clarksville military community by providing customized VA and Tricare covered outpatient services designed to specifically meet the specialized needs of veterans.
Our local Clarksville campus provides a hometown environment for veterans who wish to engage in support services, address substance abuse and mental health challenges, and gather with other local veterans who understand. We are a local, easy to access facility right here in the heart of Clarksville and are available for in-person appointments.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is not a weakness in your character — it is a wound, as real as any physical injury sustained in the line of duty. The mind does not simply power down when the mission ends. The images, the sounds, the moments that changed everything —
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is not a weakness in your character — it is a wound, as real as any physical injury sustained in the line of duty. The mind does not simply power down when the mission ends. The images, the sounds, the moments that changed everything — they have a way of following you. You may have told yourself it would get better with time, that you just needed to stay busy, and that you were strong enough to find a way to manage it alone. But strength alone cannot get you the rest of the way. It is not weakness that brings a veteran through our door — it is the courage to finally put down something that was never meant to be carried alone. At Encompass Recovery Center, we understand that your experiences are unlike anything most people will ever face, and we approach your healing with the respect, the patience, and the genuine understanding that your service and your recovery deserve.

It probably did not start as a problem. Maybe it was a drink at the end of a long day to take the edge off and a way to quiet the noise long enough to sleep. Or maybe a prescription that helped you manage pain that had nowhere else to go. For many veterans, substances become the most available tool in a kit that was never designed for what life after service actually looks like. You were solving a real problem with what you had available. But somewhere along the way, the tool started causing problems - affecting your relationships, your decisions, your judgement, and your quality of life. The veterans who walk through our doors at Encompass are not people who failed because they could not stop using on their own. They are people who fought hard for a long time with the wrong resources, and who finally decided they deserved better ones. Your VA and TRICARE benefits exist precisely for this. Encompass is here precisely for this. We exist because we believe that every veteran who has given a portion of their life to this country deserves access to honest, compassionate, and effective care that addresses not just the substance but the story beneath it.

There is a special form of exhaustion related to civilian life. It is not the dramatic exhaustion of deployment and military service, but the slow grinding kind that comes from navigating a world that moves at a different pace with an entirely different set of problems
There is a special form of exhaustion related to civilian life. It is not the dramatic exhaustion of deployment and military service, but the slow grinding kind that comes from navigating a world that moves at a different pace with an entirely different set of problems and challenges to manage. The bills do not care that you served this country. The job market does not award extra credit for the discipline and leadership you demonstrated in uniform. Health problems worsen over time. Relationships are difficult, with peaks and valleys that can create instability with those you need the most. The world feels louder, angrier, and less safe than the one you were fighting to preserve. Simply put - life is stressful. At Encompass Recovery Center, we understand that seemingly small problems can create major life challenges that impact your well-being and ability to function at your best. Encompass is not just a clinical resource, but is a community presence committed to the full arc of a veteran's post-service life. Whatever you are carrying when you walk through our door, we will be right there beside you every step of the way. Not because it is our job, but because you are our neighbor, our community, and in every way that matters, you are our own."
The MISSION Act, signed into law in 2018, gives veterans more choices in where they receive healthcare. The Act established the Community Care Program, which give veterans the ability to received services at private facilities in their community. Rather than treating community care as a last resort, the MISSION Act establishes clear eligibility criteria that give veterans the option to receive care outside of VA facilities when it’s in their best interest. Overall, the MISSION Act strengthened the VA's ability to deliver high-quality care both at VA facilities and in the community.
As an approved community care network provider with the VA, Encompass Recovery can accept Veterans into our program with a few basic steps:
Veterans who have maintained Tricare or Tricare For Life benefits may have the ability to access care quicker using their Tricare benefits. Initial appointments can be scheduled without waiting for authorization, making the time you have to wait even less.
