At Encompass Health & Recovery Center, we believe that everyone has the ability to lead a happy and fulfilling life. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that mental and emotional well-being are integral to overall health, and that therapeutic support services can be a powerful tool for achieving this balance.

We offer a complex Alcohol & Drug (A&D) assessment which includes a discussion with a trained counselor that addresses your history, current challenges, behaviors, environment, internal/external needs, mental health concerns, and a variety of other factors that may be contributing to substance abuse.  

We provide timely follow-up with recommendations for care in accordance 

with national standards.  

If needed and with a client's consent, we also offer a written assessment summary to other professionals or agencies (attorney, DCS, Probation, Recovery Court, Primary Care Physician, Psychiatrist, etc...)

at no additional charge. 

Mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma are often contributing factors to substance abuse.  Many people use alcohol or drugs to temporarily manage symptoms related to these conditions, which is often referred to as self medicating. In addition, substance abuse can trigger changes in the brain which causes mental health challenges. Because there is a strong link between substance abuse and mental health, all A&D assessments include a mental health component.  This includes screens for common mental health conditions and further evaluation if needs are identified.  We believe a thorough assessment considering all factors is the first step towards appropriate treatment and positive results..
